Away

Whoo! Another Sunday! That makes for happy since it is Six Sentence Sunday, which is:

  • You pick six (6) sentences from anything you’ve written–a work in progress (wip), something under submission, something sold; something new, something old.
  • You sign up at the Six Sunday website Tuesday starting at 6PM EST.
  • You post it on Sunday (along with posting a link of suxisunday.com)! Such as I have below.
  • And then you enjoy.

And last week Lawson saw escape in the way of a wagon ride. The only problem is the wagon is driven by Jenson, someone who may despise him, as he has attempted to beat Lawson in a drug haze at one point. They’ve got a bit of history to say the least. Fast-frowarding a bit to their conversation.

Lawson could feel Catherine trembling beside him; he understood why she was scared. Nothing like this had ever happened in Zephyr City, and it had been a century since a city had been decommissioned.

“You’ve got to get us away,” Lawson said fiercely, clutching Catherine’s hand. He raised it. “You’ve at least got to get Catherine away.”

Jenson fidgeted with the steering mechanisms and said, “I don’t think I got to do anything, Soul.”

Well, Jenson may have improved after getting away from the drugs, but he certainly hasn’t changed completely. Next week: Jenson’s decision. Make sure you check out all the other wonderful sixes. There’s a lot of good in a little place. Enjoy.

I think you were right on that firs take. ;) I’m sure Lawson will figure out some way to make Jenson come around. Or maybe he’ll just have a change of heart. We’ll see. Thanks, Stephanie!
